Familia Orientation
Familia Orientation is an annual event co-hosted by the Chicanx Latinx Student Development Office and the Raíces Recruitment and Retention Center to welcome and introduce incoming undergraduate students to their new communidad at Cal! [Online] Transitioning to UC Berkeley for Parents and Students
Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026
Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m. PST
Location: Zoom – Register to receive the Zoom link.
Incoming students and familias are welcome to get advice and learn about key resources from faculty and staff. These resources will help both students and loved ones have a successful transition to UC Berkeley.
NOTE: This online session WILL NOT be recorded.
[In-Person] Bienvenida, Student Panel, & Resource Fair

Time: 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Location: Pauley Ballroom, Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union (2475 Bancroft Way)
Join us for the in-person Familia Orientation and meet your Cal comunidad! Students and familias will be welcomed by Latinx staff and faculty, meet campus resources, and will have the chance to win some raffle prizes!
