Oceans Manifesting And Organizing CHange (OMAOCh) Conference

About the OMAOCh Conference

Created in 2020 by alumni Toluk Ito and Tupou Latukefu Drake, OMAOCh builds upon the legacy of past youth conferences led by PI student leadership at UC Berkeley and other campuses. This conference provides a dedicated space for high school and community college students to engage in meaningful discussions, activities, and workshops designed by Pacific Islanders, for Pacific Islanders. OMAOCh Conference is hosted by the Pacific Islander Initiative

Omaoch (pronounced oh-mah-oh!) means “to flow," specifically in reference to a river and/or blood in the Belauan language.

OMAOCh 2026: How Our Waters Remember

OMAOCh 2026 will be held on Saturday, April 25th on the UC Berkeley campus.

This year’s theme: “How Our Waters Remember,” calls on us to reflect on our experiences, understand how they have been shaped by our ancestors, and build power to cast new ripples toward a liberated future for all.
