Back by popular demand, Coach's Corner is a way for you to touch base with a career coach while attending the conference. You will be able to sign up for one-on-one coaching sessions.

In your registration confirmation e-mail, we will include a link to sign-up for Career Coaching (this will include sign-up times and additional information). Please only sign up for ONE appointment per person.

We are fortunate to have expert career coaches, Elayne Chou and Lisa Rykert, and campus career counselors: Ruthann Haffke, Paula Jung, Linda Lundberg, Dinorah Meyer, Chris McLean and Terrie Moore available for individualized support throughout the NOW Conference. Our career coaches are open to meeting with individuals to discuss a variety of career development topics, including:

Elayne Chou

Dr. Elayne Chou, is passionate about helping individuals and teams realize their potential. Over 15 years, she has successfully coached or trained hundreds through her private practice in Berkeley and in organizations where she has conducted workshops on career development, leadership development, and cultural diversity. Elayne worked at UC-Berkeley for many years, helping to develop the staff career development model. She currently works with Leadership Alliance, a talent management consulting firm, where she helps companies with their pre-hiring assessment, teambuilding, and executive coaching needs.

Ruthann Haffke

Ruthann Haffke is the career services manager for the School of Public Health. She has more than 20 years of experience as a career counselor & coach; helping students achieve their life goals. While employed at UC Berkeley, she has received the Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Award and the Distinguished Service Award. Ruthann is a National Certified Counselor and received her M.S. in career and college counseling from San Francisco State University, and a B.A. in sociology from UC Santa Barbara.

Paula Jung

Paula Jung, is the Career Counseling Library Manager in Counseling & Psychological Services at UC Berkeley. Prior to career counseling, Paula has had nine years of experience in various roles including finance, public relations, and human resources. In her current role, she develops career programming for students and provides career development consultation support to campus staff. Paula holds a B.S. and B.A. from UC Berkeley, and a M.A. in Counseling with an emphasis in Career Development from Santa Clara University.

Linda Lundberg

Linda Lundberg, has been with UC Berkeley since 2009 and leads the Tranisition Services Program in Human Resources and Employment Services. As a Career Coach, Linda has a passion for providing resourceful, innovative and motivating career guidance, and is very enthusiastic about all things related to employment. She holds a Masters degree in Career Development and Career Counseling. She is a Hudson Institute Certified Professional Coach, a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), Career Development Facilitator (CDFI) and a National Board Certified Career and Executive Coach (BCC).

Dinorah Meyer

Dinorah Meyer has 20 years' experience counseling and coaching clients, from college students to experienced professionals. She serves students and alumni at the Career Center, spouses and partners of visiting scholars and postdocs for the VSPA program, and private practice clients at San Francisco’s Career & Personal Development Institute. She is a National Certified Counselor with an M.S. in Career and College Counseling from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in French and Minor in Dance from Tufts University.

Chris McLean

Chris McLean is a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years experience providing a full range of counseling and career development services. He has expertise in performance psychology and has designed and led numerous trainings to promote personal growth and professional development of university students, high performance athletes, and adults in career transition. As a psychologist in UC Berkeley’s Counseling and Psychological Services he manages Career Development Programs for the campus and serves as liaison to Intercollegiate Athletics.

Terrie Moore

Terrie Moore is a Career Counselor in the Career Development Program for UC Berkeley staff. Terrie is committed to helping people leverage understanding of themselves and the world of work. Terrie believes that career development relies on recognizing one's inner strengths, developing new skills, and engaging with others. Terrie came to career counseling after extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Terrie is a National Certified Counselor and an MBTI Certified Practitioner, and holds M.S. degrees in Career Counseling and Health Services Administration.

Lisa Rykert

Lisa Rykert is the presenter for our session titled, Inner-Safari - A Guided Exploration to Deepened Self-Awareness. Lisa is a Board Certified Coach and holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She has 20+ years of experience in human resources and organizational development working within municipal, non-profit, corporate and higher education institutions, including having worked at UC Berkeley. Lisa’s current joyful calling is to support individuals and organizations to fulfill their highest purpose and inspire others to do the same to make our world an amazing place to live life fully. Lisa is author of the ebook, More Joy at Work Now.
