Finding Community

Finding a spaces on campus to build community and make connections helps with making our large university smaller. To support this,

    • GenEq is a campus community center where students, faculty, staff, and alums connect to programs, services, and resources related to gender and sexuality. We seek to create a more inclusive campus through community-building, education, support, and advocacy around issues of gender and sexuality through an intersectional lens.

    • Who does GenEq support?

      • Women* and LGBTQ+ individuals. GenEq also supports Sexual Violence Prevention and Hate Crimes Reporting on campus.

The Gender Equity Resource Center at UC Berkeley is hosting a virtual panel for prospective students to join in community with current undergraduate and graduate Queer and Trans Black students, Indigenous students, and Students of Color to hear about their journeys, experiences, and communities at Cal. The panel is moderated by a health service counselor at the University Health Services Center (Tang)

The Gender Equity Resource Center and UNITY, the LGBTQ+ residential dorm theme program, have compiled a panel of resources at Cal for prospective LGBTQ+ students

Women's* Panel

The Gender Equity Resource Center at UC Berkeley is hosting a virtual panel for prospective students to join in community with current women-identifying* undergraduate students to hear about their journeys, experiences, and communities at Cal.

*The Gender Equity Resource Center welcomes all who experience life through the lens of woman in body, spirit, identity - past, present, future, and fluid. We welcome and encourage queer, trans, femme, and gender noncomforming people to attend.
