With all that’s happening in the world, we hope this conference can be one of refuge and radical dreaming.

This year’s theme “Waves of Change, Roots of Strength” calls on us to think about where we come from, the challenges we face today as Pacific Islanders in the U.S., and how we can use our culture, our values, and the promise of liberation to guide us forward.

Join us for a day of speakers, workshops + activities on topics such as higher education, social justice, PI identity, and more! Meals, snacks and giveaways will be provided throughout the day, and admission is free.

About the OMAOCh Conference

Created in 2020 by alumni Toluk Ito and Tupou Latukefu Drake, OMAOCh builds upon the legacy of past youth conferences led by PI student leadership at UC Berkeley and other campuses. This conference provides a dedicated space for high school and community college students to engage in meaningful discussions, activities, and workshops designed by Pacific Islanders, for Pacific Islanders. OMAOCh Conference is hosted by the Pacific Islander Initiative

Omaoch (pronounced oh-mah-oh!) means “to flow," specifically in reference to a river and/or blood in the Belauan language.
