University Village, Albany (UVA)
Family Student Housing, called University Village (composed of West Village and East Village Apartments), is the perfect opportunity for students to enjoy all the benefits of an organized, family community. This 58-acre complex -- with 974 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom townhouses -- is located 3.5 miles west of the campus. University Village has its own recreational and community center, a café, laundry rooms, and child care center.
Women's Co-Ops
Hoyt Hall
Hoyt Hall, an all women-identifying house lives by one motto: Every Night is Ladies' Night. This hoity-toit household contains a diverse mixture of women and maintains a drama-free, relaxed environment for those focused on their studies. While being both quiet and cooperative, this home gets down and dirty during house parties where the ladies proceed to drop it like its Hoyt all night long. Great food, great friends, and a genuinely gorgeous view from the roof, if you're a woman looking for a mixture of fun and fastidiousness, Hoyt Hall is the place where you want to be.
Sherman Hall
Sherman Hall is a tranquil house situated between Memorial Stadium and Davis House. During the school year it is women-only, but during the summer it is open to men as well. Sherman is known for its artistically talented residents, large and well-stocked kitchen, and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We have frequent social events, delicious dinners every night, a great hot tub, and a quiet and light-filled study room. We love having visitors, so come by for dinner sometime!
