Mission Statement:
Queer Cal Pals is a mentorship program designed to connect incoming LGBTQ+ undergraduates with continuing LGBTQ+ students and our local queer and trans community, as well as the resources available on and off campus! The program takes place in the fall semester and is completely free of cost for participants - applications are open to all incoming (first year, transfer, and re-entry) undergraduate students. Incoming students accepted to the program, “Pals”, are matched with continuing students known as “Buddies” (Mentors), a partnership intended to support new UC Berkeley students by offering insight and friendship. Each cohort participates in exciting events such as attending Oakland Pride and touring the Castro District in SF!! Contact us at qcp@berkeley.edu with any questions.
