Nondiscrimination Policy Statement

The University of California, in accordance with applicable federal and state law and University policy, prohibits discrimination, including harassment, on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer-related or genetic characteristics), ancestry, marital status, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or status as a covered veteran (special disabled veteran, Vietnam-era veteran or any other veteran who served on active duty during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized). Below is a partial list of the services spouses or domestic partners may use. On January 1, 2005 the California Registered Partner Rights and Responibilities Act of 2003 took effect, and under the new law, you must register as domestic partners with the State of California Office of Secretary of State in order for any of the new rights or responsibilities to affect you. Call ahead to find out what’s required to verify your relationship to each of the units. If you’re interested in a particular department that’s not listed, just call their office and ask about partner privileges.
